Polling Day

Polling day was an exciting one this year with loads of impassioned speeches and rallies leading up to it. It was also the first time that myself and many of my peers were going to vote so that was cool.

Went to cast my vote with my family before heading home, bumped into this cutie.

Got dressed to head out with the boy. I feel like I started off this post with a lot of promise but just realised that we didn't actually do much.

It was a good day though, hahahaha.

Ended the night by visiting the neighbourhood pet store, these babies were cuddling :3

7th-10th September: School Days

Updates on the 4th week of school, we were still scrambling and exploring our very first campaign idea. Looking back at it kind of makes me want to scream. So much has changed :')

Went to visit Melly and Waffle before heading to school! Waffle was a little mad at me because I hadn't gone to see her for a while, but we've since re-cemented our friendship :3

Spotted some kids playing softball in school!

Groupmates <3

We decided that our hard work warranted some good food.

Basically where I spend almost all my time in school at.

CommCoach every Tues and Wed.

Sad coachies, hahahaha.

Start of the terrible haze period.

Free icecream in school kinda (only kinda) made up for it though.

KJ brought us food from outside because there's no decent noms near WKW, it sucks so bad (the location I mean).

Ovi also brought Ribena to perk all of us up!

Dinner time with a disgruntled boyfriend (he didn't want to take a pic :p)

We had the best tempura in the WORLD. I don't even remember the place's name anymore but it's in Tanjong Pagar and is hands down the best tempura I've ever had in my life. For only $14.90++, you get a chawanmushi for a starter, miso soup, and this glorious bowl consisting of:

1 beautiful melty egg, 2 tempura prawns (incredibly fresh), 2 tempura chicken (unbelievably tender), 1 tempura eggplant, 3 tempura long beans, 1 tempura mushroom, and 1 tempura corn (the mini kind).

Every single piece is fried right in front of you - you can see how fresh all the ingredients are. None of them have the sickly oily splash of "juice" when you bite into it. Light, and perfect. Only issue is that I could barely eat half of it, best to share for ladies :3

UGH I WANT A BOWL NOW.

So excited but had to take a picture first.

 Best dinner everrrrrrrrr.

Live the question

"Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day."

6th Sept: Mass x Family Day

Most Sundays involve church and family, this one was no different:

Sleepy puppies waiting for mass to begin.

My parish is pretty damn beautiful.

We had lunch at Queensway Shopping Centre, their food is one of the few local kind that I appreciate.

Afternoon reading in preparation for my class on magical realism.

Got myself a new bag because I deserve to be happy :P

Committed

"To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous."

5th Sept: Movie x Rally

Photo update from a weekend where we did nothing but eat, watch a movie, and attend a rally. Simple, but pretty damn lovely with the right company.

Korean place at the Cathay which I absolutely love. 10% off for students and/or movie ticket holders (only valid on the day of viewing). It's name is Ahjumma and it is located at the basement, next to Popeyes'. Major thumbs up for the beef bulgogi stew and the amazing gyoza.

Happy kids all filled up.

The instruction was: "Can you act as if you love me." I don't know what my boyfriend thinks this looks like, lol.

But he's such a qt :3

We attended a rally in the evening. It was pretty uncomfy but he got us some snacks and it was kind of fun to just bask in the atmosphere. It was a good experience methinks!

Blue-Eyed Devil

"I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together."
