Photo Update: 18th-26th Jan 2017

I can't express how beautiful this is, I wish I could have some now.

He wasn't hungry when I had my chicken so he had some horfun much later.

Dimsum time with my Lin.

And our fav activity for the unemployed and out of school - Karaoke.

Rushed to babysit and obliged their mum's request to do some red packet crafts.

I had only just learnt to do these online an hour ago and this was the only successful fish I made hahaha. Thank goodness I found an easy craft to do with them after this and they were none the wiser.

BKT for dinner on a rainy night.

With my cute onigiri!

He brought me out for a film event!

There was a bus that brought us to various places, it was pretty interesting!

It ended with a pretty eerie performance (in my opinion) but my boy enjoyed it hehe.

This was probably the most interesting part to me!

We were both starving after all those shenanigans and the only thing open at that hour was my neighbourhood's trusty kopitiam :')

Brunch time with my bebby.

<3

Reunion of the BFFsg girls! We prepared dinner together at Ovi's place. Here is KJ being useful and chopping up onions for Ovi.

Erin preparing ingredients for the amazing cake that she baked for us.

Chef Ovi preparing her Shashuka

Cutting up random stuff that the other two tell us to lol.

Alllllmost done.

Communication students and photo taking go hand in hand methinks.

AMAZING SHASHUKA

Beautiful beautiful cake, it had everything. Best served with ice cream :')

Love these girls <3

Happy Lou Hei at my company's new office (:

Saw a happy puppy getting groomed!

One of my favourite doge pics from the Women's March.

I feel like I've been captioning all my food pics with longing...... I miss curry sauce with maccas fries :')

The boy came over and helped my parents to set up the new sofa!

Had the good fortune of having schedules falling in perfect alignment with these two.

Joshie who of course gets forced into multiple photos.

And Juli who always gracefully complies.

Tea time for fancy ladies hehehe.

Then dinner with ma bestie.

After which we went for K! I do miss karaoke a lot! I've heard that there are a couple of karaoke places here in Perth but I imagine they must be really costly here.

Rare trip to the hair dresser!

I can always trust her to do a good job :3

I really loved this grey but of course bleached colours don't last too long.

Lunch time with my lover.

Tea time with my meimei.

Ended the night killing in mahjong, oh how I miss this game!

A Little Before We Sleep

In this minute of make-
believe, I can show you
anything. A bird touches
wall you can touch, turns
to dog, spider, cat. You follow
the shapes my hands
awkwardly make: snake
sliding down the door,
your small certain head
bobbing up and down.
A fish swims just below
your ear, hair clinging
above it with sweat. Softly
air blows through; I count
them to slow time down.
In this minute, I am there
with you, in that space
nature makes us forget--
my own mother flapping
her wings, my giant bird yet.

Sushi therapy.

Went to get my hair snipped off in preparation for the big move.

Met up with the princess of darkness.

Meimei for ice cream.

Lunch time with mum at a supposed 1 michelin star restaurant, hehe.

Braved through dark paths and monster mosquitoes just to get to these amazing fish & chips, it was worth it!

Saturday adventure time!

We went to Gillman Barracks to check out the new exhibitions.

Mass time with the parents.

Mum's amazing home cooked prawn mee.

Found my kindergarten class photo!

It may have been a CNY themed day at school for this little one that day.

Received a lippie which shared the same name as me (:

#07-38

I would like to rent a room where
names of past lovers can be carefully erased,
like mistakes in a schoolchild’s homework.
They have become like a white stain,
a circumscribed fragment of the void
going up the spiral staircase to
the prologue of closed books,
reaching back to the old desire:
to stretch their arms across that
dimly lit corridor of the mind,
to those memories hanging with rembrandts –
the mad urge to slash the painting
portraying geese flying in the distance.
