26th - 31st August 2018: Smattering of work days at home & friends

After my sister left, I had quite an uneventful couple of weeks. Mostly just working from home and spending time with a sleepy puppet.

Ditto

Package from my bestie :D

So many snackies!

Lovingly prepared and packaged for me to bring home by my nina Ana who was always fretting about my nutritional needs :')

Study date!

Off to meet the rest of the gang for dinner.

KBBQ is a super popular choice, especially with the cool weather.

Dessert! Wasn't super impressed by this but the chocolate was pretty good.

I miss living alone with my little baby.

Deshedding is tiring.

The Author Writes the First Draft of His Wedding Vows

"Dearest,
I feel certain I am going mad again.
we will go through terrible times. And recover. I
begin to hear your voice, and can’t concentrate. So I am
doing what seems
will give me the greatest possible happiness.
I don’t think two people could have been happier with
this disease. I know
that without you I can’t properly feel.
What I want to say is You have
saved me.

Everything has gone from me
but the certainly of your goodness."

25th August 2018: Last day of sister's Perth trip

Scruffy morning Tofu.

First business of the day: Dimsum

Off to the beach for chills.

This was pretty good.

Silly Tofu enjoying the beach a little too much.

Oh I miss these sunsets.

LOOK AT THAT PAW

Yang's dumplings for dinner! I loveee their sheng jian bao.

This boy couldn't have any so he chewed his toy instead.

Reverse yearning

“What is it in us that lives in the past and longs for the future, or lives in the future and longs for the past? And what does it matter when light enters the room where a child sleeps and the waking mother, opening her eyes, wishes more than anything to be unwakened by what she cannot name?”

– Mark Strand

21st - 24th August 2018: Sister's Perth Trip

Found some new red spots on his back so he had to go back to the doctor and see the dermatologist again.

Dr Sharon was pleased to see him though!

Not happy about being back with his neck pillow but he's a real trooper about wearing stuff now.

Dinner with the Ling at their place.

And their beautiful Milo of course!

Brunching at Lo Quay! Ahhh how I miss this.

Beautiful KBBQ

Dessert is a must.

19th - 20th August 2018: Rottnest Island Brunch

Woke up early to drive to Fremantle and still nearly missed our ferry to Rottnest Island. It was quite expensive so I don't know if I would do it again, but it was beautiful.

Quokkas! The silly thing was that soon after this, I was overwhelmed by extreme fatigue. I had taken motion sickness pills too late for them to take effect (still felt sick on the ferry) but they also kind of knocked me out. I was very much a lifeless lump for the last 2 hours of our time on the island.

Snackies by the water.

 They're too cute!

Some puppies back on shore.

Because my sister has a sweet tooth, I got her this gigantic ice-cream cake lol.

Honestly went to very few cafes outside of my immediate area when I lived in Perth. Got to visit this places because I was hosting my sister.

 Buttermilk waffles! So good!

More touristy stuff.

 My beauty.

Way too much thai food for the two of us.

And a giant tart hehe.
