23rd September 2018: Lili Swan Valley

Had a nice lie in that got ready for our Swan Valley day!

Started the tour by bringing Lili and Ron to my favourite winery and vineyard, Sandalford.

Lots of tasting and purchase of wine was done, hehe.

Lots of third wheeling was also done.

Next stop: The Cheese Barrel. Which incidentally had a petting zoo that day.

Wasn't in the mood for more alcohol so I ordered this amazing grape juice, expensive but sooo refreshing.

Taking the opportunity to take pics in the beautiful sunlight.

Twin life <3

Ahhhh amazing platter :')

This cheese cake thing was less amazing but still pretty good.

Next stop: Feral Brewing Co for beers.

Oooh pork crackle was pretty good.

Finally we stopped at Ugly Duckling's brewery, also one of my favourite places.

So tired every night <3

Proximity Intimacy

“What reconciles me to my own death more than anything else is the image of a place: a place where your bones and mine are buried, thrown, uncovered, together. They are strewn there pell-mell. One of your ribs leans against my skull. A metacarpal of my left hand lies inside your pelvis. (Against my broken ribs your breast like a flower.) The hundred bones of our feet are scattered like gravel. It is strange that this image of our proximity, concerning as it does mere phosphate of calcium, should bestow a sense of peace. Yet it does. With you I can imagine a place where to be phosphate of calcium is enough.”

21st - 22nd September 2018: Lili's Birthday Dinner x Fremantle

Met Fuji at the park one evening. We first met him when Tofu was a tiny puppy and now they're about the same size!

Such happy puppies.

Zooming in different directions lol.

Sent Tofu home then set off to pick Lili and Ron from their hotel.

Had to bring her to Nine Fine Food for her birthday dinner of course.

We shared 2 three-course and 1 four-course meal, it was insane and so good.

My beautiful baby <3

Best littlest sister <3

Sleepy Tofu on a Saturday morning, not knowing that he had a long day of fun ahead of him.

5 more minutes of snoozing mami?

Of course I started off my day teaching this beautiful munchkin first, and he gave me a curry puff for breakfast!

Came home to fetch Tofu and said goodbye to Henry who was leaving for Malaysia that day to start his new job.

Started our fun day at Cicerello! Tofu made some friends while waiting for Lili and Ron to make their orders.

Doing the usual tourist stuff hehe.

"Modelling" MuYu's new sustainably made wooden earrings.

Post-lunch ice-cream.

I didn't try it but it looked amazing.

Took a break at the lawn. It looks really sunny but it was actually pretty chilly that afternoon.

We went shopping but I spent most of the time looking at Freo doggos hehe.

Time for beer and snackies as the sun went down.

I love Little Creatures' chicken wings so much! And of course Fremantle Market's roogenic tea.

Finally got back to Lili and Ron's airbnb to rest for the night. This doge was all tuckered out.

He woke up quickly when he saw the sushi we got from takeaway though!

And then right back to sleep hahahaha.

Nawwww.

Stone heart

"For my part, I think we need more emotion, not less. But I think, too, that we need to educate people in how to feel. Emotionalism is not the same as emotion. We cannot cut out emotion - in the economy of the human body, it is the limbic, not the neural, highway that takes precedence. We are not robots...but we act as though all our problems would be solved if only we had no emotions to cloud our judgement.”
