"But I love your feet
only because they walked
upon the earth and upon
the wind and upon the waters,
until they found me."

Living for the Weekends

I had a pretty packed weekend, things got emotional here and there but I'm glad all turned out well. I'm still trying to catch hold of my feelings properly, been feeling kinda unsettled - sometimes everything just feels very touch and go. But I think I'm getting better (:

Saturday lunch date with my boy, we had a pottie pie at Rocky's and an almost too-sweet mango slushie.

Bought loads of pug friends for Lili's bday.

My qt ^^

In the evening, it was Lili's 21st birthday celebration!

Loads of big balloon friends!

We had cake and loads of bubbly!

Birthday girl looking beautiful :3

Sunday morning we went for a wedding brunch.

Yeah we had no friends at the wedding.

Love spending time with my qt :*

Ended the day with a family photoshoot and then BKT for dinner :3

Tilting Our Plates To Catch The Light

So I've been reading a lot of local poetry lately...

"To catch a love,
you must not use the splintered
cup of your hands, but fling open

the net of an entire life
sewn from the cicatrix of every
secret loss and wrecked desire."

The Shortest Distance

"Are you willing to climb the world for me? Because I'd climb it for you.

Scale it like the map of our lives. Trample through accumulated layers of soil and rock to find you at its peak, shining like a new day. I will take the longest route if I have to. Carrying nothing but my desire. willing to admit that you've found me out, that I'm weak and that I need you.

...

The shortest distance between two points may be a straight line. But points shift. Morph. Appear. Disappear. Walk in a straight line and you are likely to end up in the wrong place. Love takes the path of the heart, a line as tangled as two lives intertwined. To trace love, one must journey the distance that cannot be mapped on any two-dimensional surface. To trace love, I must run a finger across the ridges of time and fill every valley with your face.

You are only as far as one wall of my heart to the other, a distance that is forever, but that which I must close in a single breath.

You are only as far as the spaces between us that will collapse like shadows when you call my name."

- Tania De Rozario

School Weeks

So things in school have been same old same old:

We celebrated granny's 82nd birthday on Sunday night.

Monday was no less tiring than usual, but I wore my bunny top to cheer myself up :3

Tuesday's lunchbox which was accompanied by a monster of a day (as usual)

Ended it off with a late dinner at school with Juli, it was nice winding down after a long

Like I said, long long day...

Wednesday morning I went for my internship interview which went rather well :3

It also ended early so I went shopping, haha.

Lunch with Juli at my favourite HV place, they have so many new items on their menu - I was so so excited! Tried the smoked duck risotto and it was beautiful.

Then study timessssss, it was pretty productive :3

Yeah, sometimes I do things like this.

Thursdays are dedicated to early lessons and then Pitchstop lunches with the Lit friends.

And then CommCube time where sometimes students don't turn up.

This Thursday was nicer than usual though, because I met my qt for dinner! We wanted to gorge on pasar malam food, but it turned out that the vendors had already closed! So we had...

Macdonalds. It was actually really good, haha.

Friday Friday Friday! Did some work at home in the day before heading out in the evening to meet the bestfriend.

We went for manicures and then sushi dinner.

Food start to my weekend! (:

SMU Animal Day

From last Sunday when we attended SMU Animal Day 2014! There were puppies/kitties/bunnies EVERYWHERE. The boy and I stayed for a good 4 hours just molesting people's pets, hahahhaa. It was a good day:

Cuddled a puppy for charity! They were so tiny and adorable, I wanted to bring them all home.

We saw these majestic looking Afghan Hounds. It was such a novelty because we rarely see them here in Singapore and they looked so poised.

All the other pups got excited by them as well, guess it was something new for all living things involved! :P

Hehe my little qt.

Held this manja little kitty for almost half an hour, she just nestled into my arms so comfortably, I was in loveeee.

Pug! <3

I think her "hair" is of better quality compared to most ladies, bahahhaha.

Last shot of tubby little qts cuddling up to each other :3

Tiong Bahru Heritage Trail

I've been neglecting to update with pictures. This set is from last Saturday when we went on the Tiong Bahru Heritage Trail which included many kitties and puppies. The weather was merciful, not too sunny with a light breeze. Still not ideal for someone like me who loathes heat and perspiration, but it all we could ask for and I'm grateful. We had a pretty lovely time :3

We started off the morning with breakfast at TBP and then spent a tiresome 30minutes looking for the CC when it was a mere 10 minutes walk away, oops.

The first stop was an air raid shelter that Singaporeans used during WW2. It was pretty cool checking it out, musty air and all that.

Talked to an old lady who was hanging out with her puppies.

And made friends with these majestic creatures who were out for a walk (clearly I got distracted from the tour a lot, hahaha).

Tiong Bahru being Tiong Bahru.

Kitty friends.

Vintage style stairs.

Temple of the Monkey God.

Lunch & study time with my love.

We found an unusually quiet cafe with wifi & plugs, perfect for a peaceful afternoon. The food was also pretty good, not what I expected since it wasn't crowded unlike many of the places in this area. The chocolate cake was to die for.

Ended the day with good ole' hawker food because this qt was craving for meepok. <3
