"Yes, I need you, my fairy-tale. Because you are the only person I can talk with about the shade of a cloud, about the song of a thought - and about how, when I went out to work today and looked a tall sunflower in the face, it smiled at me with all of its seeds."

Books Actually 10th Anniversary Exhibition
A couple of weeks ago, Books Actually celebrated their 10th anniversary and put up an exhibition at the Substation. As happy and loyal patrons, Sam and I decided to go down to show our support! It was beautiful and.. kind of touching :') Just off the top of anyone's head, there shouldn't be any reason why an independent bookshop in Singapore can survive, let alone one that strongly supports Singapore literature, yet it has and it thrives. I'm so proud.
Was super glad to have a chill day out after a pretty crazy week.
:')
Letters and notes written to Kenny, the boss and founder of Books Actually.
I don't even know where they got these adorable old school momentos but I was impressed.
Little goodie bag they were giving out, included some old school momentos too !
Amazing early thai dinner at Aloythai, we certainly over ordered but it was so so so worth it.
Always happy when I'm with this dude.
Wuv you sneaky boy.

Photo Update 16th - 20th November
November - early December was a crazy busy time with upcoming finals, client meetings, and preparation for performances. I was exhausted all the time but I guess I also felt very fulfilled. A lot of anxiety fuelled dreams (i.e. nightmares) but I think we got through it fine:
Performance time for the Newton kindergarten kids!
Kittycat.
Adorable bunny, hehe.
Palace guards I believe, haha.
Palace ladies.
The emperor and his attendant.
Dancers, hahaha.
This girl was also there to help out so that was fun!
Late lunch after the crazy morning and afternoon getting the kids ready for their performances.
Had a pretty relaxed client meeting after which we adjourned for dessert.
Wednesday afternoon i finally had the chance to catch up with Joanne whom I hadn't seen for about 1.5 years. It was really lovely exchanging news, the food was really amazing too.
Crazy combined class for my K1 babies, it was quite intense handling all of them at once.
Dinner with these kids <3
Pretty awesome ending to an insanely busy day.
Client meetings, what's new.
Popped by Froth for a quick discussion.
Managed to squeeze in some time for shopping between meetings.
Popped back in for dinner and for our group meeting.
The food was beyond amazing, highly recommend!
Gazing lovingly at my food, hehe. The chicken was fried to perfection, juicy but not oily. The meat was flavourful and the truffle mash was perfect.
Amazing buttermilk waffles with seasalt caramel ice-cream, perfection.
Again

BFF Focus Group 13th-14th November
So for the past couple of months, my FYP group has been working on a campaign called the Breast-Feeding Friends (BFF) which seeks to create a more inclusive and supportive public environment for nursing mothers in Singapore. It is due to be launched in the first week of January and the 4 of us have been working really hard at ensuring that it will be a success. Much still remains to be seen if there will be fruits from our labour, but I'd like to think that we've been doing well thus far.
On the second weekend of November, we held focus groups with a number of nursing mums. At this point, I had completely lost my voice and could not for the life of me make a single utterance. It was a great pity because I was looking forward to getting to know the mums better through the discussions but that aside, the sessions were still a success. We learnt so much and received a lot of insight to move forward:
We had an insane amount of stuff to bring to our focus group location between 3 of us, so by the time we arrived, we were exhausted. Dim sum plans were put into place.
Posing with the selection which looked amazing but was really kind of lacklustre and overpriced.
Moved everything into the rooms after eating, this was perhaps only half of our stuff, haha.
Really thankful for our sponsors who very kindly provided items for our goodie bags!
All set for the focus group!
Lactation cookies in their adorable packaging for the participating mummies, also sponsored.
I'm not too sure how sensitive the mummies are about photo taking so I'm only posting pics of baby Chase since his mummy is my friend.
We kinda had a ball with all the kids, hehe.
Yummy mummy and her baby.
Hahaha I love his little baby face.
Toys that we prepared for the older kids.
After 4 gruelling sessions, we were finally done! Yay!
The boy came to pick me up after our last session to have sushi!
Haha trying out spectacles.
