The Fault in Our Stars

"'Some people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them,' I said.

'Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.'"

Photo Update: 1st - 4th December

December is always my favourite month because it means Christmas is near and that's my favourite holiday of the year! NYE also comes pretty close but it depends on the company so well, I had such lovely ones this (and last) year. The month was extremely hectic though with our preparation for the launch of BFF as well as meetings and work; probably one of the busiest holiday seasons I've had thus far. Still, it was pretty damn lovely. Here's an update from the first 4 days of the year:

Day before my final examination, working at the CommCube.

I found that the most comfortable space to read my notes (which I was getting increasingly sick of) was underneath the work table, haha.

Excited bunnies outside the examination hall, we couldn't wait to just run in to finish it up so that we could go.

After examination dinner with my cute boy!

He took me to the bookstore and surprised me by buying me this kitty colouring book. A couple of months ago I was intrigued by the crazy adult colouring book trend and wanted to try it out but he "prevented" me from getting one myself because of my hectic schedule (lol mother much :p). He promised that he would get me one himself when I was at least done with my exams, and I had completely forgotten about it until that day! I was already less interested in the concept but since this book has cats.... Why not :D

BK lunch with Kanika and Sharan before Kanika left for SF!

We didn't have time to take a group pic though ): It was a pretty hectic day, after our lunch, Kanika and I went to get our nails done and a quick trim.

I then sped off for a partner meeting with Ovi before heading over to meet

Nicole! We went to a large contemporary exhibit at Bugis!

Bumped into this adorable kitty on the way to tuition.

Ended the long day with some colouring.

Preparation for anniversary cake! I made two small sized heart-shaped chocolate cake, stacked on top of each other to make a fuller sized one.

Wasn't using my brain for the first attempt and over loaded the aluminium tray, the chocolate oozed out and didn't bake properly.

Inadvertent lava cake, hahaha. The final piece was pretty though :3

"When adults say, 'Teenagers think they are invincible' with that sly, stupid smile on their faces, they don't know how right they are. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old. They get scared of losing and failing. But that part of us greater than the sum of our parts cannot begin and cannot end and so it cannot fail."

29th November: BFF Video Shoot

Thanks to the kindness of strangers and friends, the BFF team was able to execute our awareness video shoot smoothly. It was an extremely tiring day but I'm glad that all went well:

All the equipment that Ovi brought over all the way from NTU, and which we lugged back afterwards at night x_x

Interviewing our cute talents.

Kj having some baby bonding time.

Late lunch for the hungry crew.

After we finally wrapped and ordered makisan for dinner!

2 hours later when the food hadn't arrived and we were all hungry and angry.

Thank god it was perfection when it finally came :')

"But I'm still in pain.
'Stretch them,' you say.
You've got to keep doing it
till your body gets used
to being used.

All I wanted to tell you then,
was that your heart
is a muscle too."

25th - 28th November: Holiday Programmes & Performances

Worked at my company's holiday speech & drama camp for 3 days and it was a blast. A lot more relaxed than regular classes with way more activities. It was tiring as hell but still a good time:

Making fruit cocktails!

Art work based on their performance for The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Mookata with my lover.

Qtpai.

Cookie making!

Little goat all ready for performance!

I didn't get any pictures of the actual performance but these kids did really well considering they learnt and practiced everything in 2.5 days!

The next morning, my two K1 classes had their annual christmas showcase so I woke up bright and early to go get them ready. Was so excited for them! How wonderfully adorable they look :3

My beautiful flower girls

Rain and suns haha.

It was this sweetie's birthday!

Quiet place for lunch with the boy to wind down after the hectic first half of the day.

Perfect pumpkin soup with bacon and a little bit of cheese.

Special cocktails, all the names sounded like they were spun up by an angmo with yellow fever though lol.

We shared this awesome beef (was it beef? I don't remember) and sweet potato fries (WITH BACON BITS OMG). It doesn't look like much but we could not finish it, it was insane.

I think the set came with dessert too!

Hanging out with my favourite.
