On reading

That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.

3-11 July 2018: Holiday x Doges

Trying to keep the girls entertained.

Morning babies, mami's gotta leave you for a sec to go for shopping quickly.

Got me a much needed haircut.

Doge wasn't impressed that I had to leave him to get it though.

Went out to cuddle a puppy!

And came home to two judgmental faces ahaha

Still lots of cuddles though.

Dog park time!

Exhausted every night from all the playing.

Time to pack up and go home my love.

Two weeks worth of nonsense.

On Final Goodbyes

To lose someone you love is to alter your life for ever. You don't get over it because 'it' is the person you loved. The pain stops, there are new people, but the gap never closes. How could it? The particularness of someone who mattered enough to grieve over is not made anodyne by death.

I've thought a lot about death recently, the finality of it, the argument ending in mid-air. One of us hadn't finished, why did the other one go? And why without warning? Even death after long illness is without warning. The moment you had prepared for so carefully took you by storm.

1-2 July 2018: Floofy Walk x Heather

Woke up bright and early to bring the two floofies out to a Japanese Spitz meet up!

Met a babbyyyyy.

Little baby girl came along too.

So many doggies that the photographer had to back up a long way.

Goodbye!

Brunch for Yesenia and me after the walk because we were starving.

They tried to convince us that they were starving too.

Sleepy puppies on the way home.

Another early morning to pick this girl who, she was in town so we went for brunch!

Of course we brought the dogs.

Beautiful warm pumpkin soup on a cold rainy morning <3

So good to have two floofs <3
