Photo Update: 22nd - 28th September

So this is what I've been up to during the week leading up to Recess! There were a lot of dull moments and then a flurry of activity towards the end, so if I decide to cut the losses, it was a pretty good week :D A huge bulk of the pictures come from the weekend which was absolutely glorious - much anticipated and did not disappoint.

Monday went by as usual - KFC breakfast, 2 hour lecture, 4 hour tuition and then home to collapse.

Tuesday was lunchbox day as usual, I brought super yummy glutinous rice that my mum made! I couldn't wait for the torturous day to end because...

I was excited to have a feast at Lavender with my boy at the hawker centre that is due to be closed soon. Awesome prawn noodles, chicken wings and dim sum, I'm hungry just looking at this picture omg.

We also went for some tiramisu after :3

So so good to see my qtpie after a terribly long day <3

Had lunch at home on Wednesday because I had no class. My granny had been staying with us for the week so things were really busy and messy at home, I survived mostly.

Ran away to the Rail Mall to study because it was too noisy at home with all the members around.

Dinner time with Juli, flashing our student cards for discounts. Bahahahahhaa.

Thursday started off with a midterm that went moderately well as far as I can tell, and then lunch time at Pitchstop with my chums before leaving for my coaching session.

I decided to call it quits after it ended and went straight home instead of staying back to study, MY RECESS WEEK THUS BEGAN.

Friday morning: I had a quick brunch and then set out on a mission, it was a full baking day.

Batter for rainbow cake!

Made two heartshaped cakes and..

Two round full size cakes - it took a terribly long time but I was so pleased with the results!

Also prepared some lemon juice for my qt so that he could have it over the weekend :3

Finally heading out on Friday night!

Dinner with the bestfran.

She also conned me into watching an action-horror movie, it was suspense all the way. Still, it's always fun when we're together :3

Saturday finally came after a terribly long time. Had a nice macs breakfast and then down to our staycay! The room was kind of difficult to photograph because of the sharp confined corners, but it was absolutely beautiful. Rainforest background, attic ceiling and soothing light blue walls, I was in love.

Having tea in bed.

A sweet heart for my sweeheart.

We had a complimentary dinner which I forgot to take pictures of, here is our supper though, which looks really gross and lacklustre but... it was so yummy, as unhealthy food always it. Also, it was so so lovely to eat at the balcony, enjoying the quiet and the nice breeze. I really needed a nice quiet getaway.

Complimentary breakfast in the morning, not too shabby at all.

The boy very compliantly entertained my phototaking nonsense.

Such a qt <3

Hahhahahaha.

I miss the fluffy white sheets so much.

So sad to check out, but incredibly grateful for having such a god-sent, restful weekend.

 Went for a walk about.

Was really amused to see 1 dude fixing a light bulb with 5 friends helping, hehe.

Caught the photographer in action (which he hates, oops :3)

Decided to visit the ACM for a bit, though we couldn't stay for long.

Went home to collapse for a bit before heading to my aunt's place for dinner. It was pretty damn awesome, there was a huge steamed fish, roasted duck, and my favourite Chinese soup :3

The cousin also brought back gifts from her holiday in Australia so that kept me a happy bunny. We spent the evening looking at their vacation pictures and catching up so it was altogether very pleasant. What a lovely way to end the week :D

The difference between winning and succeeding

"From those things, and one other perhaps, I coined my own definition of success, which is: peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you're capable. I believe that's true. If you make the effort to do the best of which you're capable, to try and improve the situation that exists for you, I think that's success. And I don't think others can judge that. I think it's like character and reputation. Your reputation is what you are perceived to be; your character is what you really are. And I think that character is much more important than what you are perceived to be. You'd hope they'd both be good, but they won't necessarily be the same."

Lobster

Sometimes you think that there's no way that you could love someone more than you already do, and then you wake up the next morning to find that that wasn't true.

Recess Week

This week is supposed to be all about work work work work work but I feel so lazy and all I want to do is to stay in bed. Can I? Please?

No? Okay.

Mundane Week

As the title suggests, it has been a mundane week. School -> home // repeat. Pleasant-ish weekend though. I don't have much to say because... there really isn't much to say. I've been coping :3

Monday went by pretty smoothly. This girl came down to my place to borrow jackets and coats for her Perth trip. Then we went for some noms at Macs, hehe.

Excited about shakerfries!

Tuesday was manageable for once because I skipped two classes (oops) and sat in mostly alert for the remaining 4 hours after which I met Juli for dinner, it was pretty nice (:

Wednesday spent on meetings & study.

Then to the Swedish Ambassador's House for a Swede event! (:

The food was goooood.

Good time catching up even though our whole party wasn't present.

Thursday mornings are always tiresome, it was an eventful day! Had class, interviews, lunch & then coaching :3

Quick lunch break with Hazel!

She gave me cheesecake :D

Dinner and study at school with Hazie & Heather after coaching, it was a long but extremely productive day!

Breakfast at home on a Friday morning to celebrate not being at school.

Haven't had this in ages!

Finally got to meet the boy whom I hadn't seen all week, walked around and spent some time with him before meeting the others to celebrate Ashley's 20th birthday!

KTV at Rendevouz's Teo Heng, here's Ashley with her cake (which we couldn't finish) :D

HAHAHHAHAHAHA.

Cafe for study time on Saturday with the boy.

Such a qtpie <3

Me being grumpy about studying.

Dinner time at one of my favourite budget places, hehehe.

And he got me an adorable little kitty box. The kitty pops up and mews before pulling coins into the box, I love it so so much.

Activity for the rest of the night, hehe.

Love my qt :3
