Norway Adventure Pt 5

Here are the photographs from the 5th and final day that we spent at Norway:

Our late breakfast consisted of omelette and pizza.

I was astounded by the beautiful sight outside the window, been way too long since I've been on a plane in the day. We've been consistently taking night flights so this was a pleasant change (:

Baby in front of us that kept up his relentless crying and fussing until we landed, thank god the flight was only an hour. Still, he was adorable. 

So this concludes the 5 days of our Norway adventure! Feels good to be back in Uppsala just resting. The international gasque is tomorrow so we'll have to start getting ready for it soon, but to be honest, I'm not exactly feeling it right now. Guess we'll see!

Norway Adventure Pt 4

Day 4 was by far the most eventful day of all, we were out for more than 24 hours because of the Norway in a Nutshell package that we bought. Basically, this is what happened:

0800: Board 3 hour train from Oslo to Mydral
1230: Board Flam railway to Flam
1330: Arrive at Flam
1440: Board cruise to Gudvagen
1700: Board bus from Gudvagen to Voss
1800: Arrive at Voss
1815: Board train from Voss to Bergen
2000: Arrive at Bergen
2300: Board train from Bergen to Oslo
0645: Arrive at Oslo

We were excited to see the beautiful sights on the train! Loads of snow <3 

Got off here to change to the..

Flam Railway!

Arrived at Flam 50 mins later. The ride was very scenic but didn't allow for much photo taking because it was up on the mountains and there were many grills that made it difficult to catch good shots. 

Cooked and packed some lunch with us! We had noodles, sausages and bread! 

Moved on to board the Fjord 1 cruise!

The water looked so clean.

The cruise went at an extremely slow pace so we had plenty of time to enjoy the sights and catch the beautiful snow-capped mountains. The wind got really strong here and there but overall it was a very good experience!

Arrived at a very quiet Voss!

Finally boarding the train to Bergen!

Bergen's supposed to be extremely beautiful but when we got there, it was already dark and raining so we didn't get to see much :< 

Walked around a mall for a bit and then sat down to chat because we really couldn't do anything/go anywhere. Bought food at the convenience store again for dinner. 

Finally hopping back on the night train to get back to Oslo, 6 hours+ ride!

Free night-time supplies provided: blanket, blow-up pillow, earplugs, eye mask.

So I've already uploaded majority of the photographs, only the last day to go! Am too tired to do that right now so I'm just going to crash. Goodnight!
