Paris Day 3 & 4

Fruit stall near our hotel which operates super long hours, didn't buy anything but it was lovely to check out the fruits because they all look so colourful and pretty and fresh :3

Most expensive meal of our entire trip: 15 euros for 2 croissants and 2 hot chocolates. We spent the a good 3 hours walking and walking and walking, trying to look for a cafe of sorts for breakfast but nothing was opened because it was Sunday. Even went down to the town area and still, this was the only place open.

Can't believe I paid the equivalent of 15SGD for a piece of bread and "milo", hahahaha.

 The back of the Opera

Qtpai

There was some kind of event going on, note the cool cars/vehicles at the back!

Asked these two for directions in Macdonalds and became friends! They're from Germany and France, very lovely people (:

At the front of the Opera!

Walked over an hour to find this place! It's about a 10 mins walk from the Opera.

The set was pretty worth it, especially by European standards. 12euros for 6 gyoza, 6 slices of sashimi, miso soup, salad and rice. There was also complimentary lychee sake!

I don't look very enthusiastic here, but I was totes happy about having my sashimi fix :3

Excited to visit the Catacombs of Paris!

It was pretty dark and slippery. Glen actually had a fall there and her knee still hurts ):

Resurfacing from the Catacombs (it was an extremely pant-worthy climb up to street level) to a lovely quiet street, mostly residential. There were kids skateboarding and cycling, and loads of people bringing their dogs out for walks.

Can't remember what this place is called, but we made our way here. It's a huge flea market of sorts!

After that, we found a very cute Arab diner which sold kebabs for very good prices!

We shared this huge kebab that came with fries and a drink, for only 6.5euros!

Excited to find Lipton!

Before we walked back to our hotel, we stopped by this Chinese takeaway store to check out the stuff. It was pretty legit!

Day 4:
 Went to post our postcards!

Had the same problem with finding food, took us about an hour to find this quaint little pub that also served food. It belongs to a Chinese couple (HK & Mainland China).

Steak and some kind of mash at 9euros

The lady boss was adorable.

Made our way to the Tuileries Garden, wanted to go to Versailles but it turns out it wasn't open on Mondays ):

Main gate to the gardens!

We got the chocolate waffle with bananas, it was super yummy but insanely messy to eat.

Lovely lake for people to just relax and spend time at.

Plenty of people having lunch/picnics here, just enjoying the weather and the tranquility. If we had more time it would've been nice to stay longer!

Apparently it's way more beautiful in summer because there's yknow.. grass.

Tiny Eiffel in the distance

Arc de Triomphe at the front!

 Little kids on excursion!

Little area for people to bring their pups out!

 Hahahaha Chinese food for lunch!

This costs 20euros..... but it was good-ish!

Awesome bossman who was really friendly and helpful, went around asking people where the macaroon shop was for us and walked us a little way out to make sure we were going in the right direction!

We didn't find the one we were looking for but this was good enough!

Andddddd, this concludes our Paris trip! We can now finally move on to Uppsala and I can stop feeling as if I've something undone :D
