Anyhow, here're some photographs:
First day we traipsed out into the snow (:
Was secretly cold outta my skull.
Moose tracks in the snow in our yard!
Our street!
Went to visit the largest cathedral in Scandinavia!
Pity they only have services in Swedish!
A smaller Baptist church nearby, less than a quarter of the huge cathedral, but just as beautiful inside. The architecture is beautiful, lovely stained glass as well.
Hahahaha water frozen midway.
Hahahhaa nightmare flashback on Persona
The birds here are all cute and fat!
Fat cat at St Lars, the only Catholic church in Uppsala.
Bahahahahahahhahaa.
Shopping at the City Centre
Swedish soup that our landlady cooked and offered us (:
Our first cooking expedition was Shepherd's Pie! Took us 2 hours to prepare and finish cooking but it was a success! Not bad at all for a first attempt (:
This day it started snowing again all of the sudden so we ran out to take photographs.
Hellokitty socks makes me happy :D
Second major cooking expedition was lasagna!
This took about 3 hours, hahahaha.
We went to the immigration to settle our residence permits and got slightly lost trying to find our way to the city.
It started snowing steadily for a couple of days and everything became white.
Multiple attempts but we finally managed to capture a snowflake!
Spoils from H&M!
Invited Sean over to help us eat our food!
Kids sledding on a huge hill at the city centre!
Pedestrian crossing for kitties!
Cemetery facing the English Park.
Sushi/Asian restaurant (they also serve Chinese and Thai food) near the Central Station, it's surprisingly good and affordable!
I love breakfast.
The day we spent 5 hours at Ikea.
Ikea spoils! Was so excited to start packing my room!
Bought the purple hanging unit to store all my folded clothes because I wanted to use my chest of drawers for other stuff. Felt awesome to finally get my OCD urges out of the way (:
Happy with my room (:
Love this view from our bathroom.
Some student nation thingy happening in school, had no idea what it was about.
First fika outdoors!
I already love this place, they have the most adorable cups!
Here you've to go to this place called "System Bolaget" (not sure if I spelt it correctly) to get any kind of liquor above 3.5% because the government has a monopoly. It's kinda amazing and fun though because the variety is absolutely insane, not exactly pricey either!
Most of the cider only cost $3-6 dollars, not bad at all.
Figured I deserved a little something.
Beautiful lights in the city, except my iPhone couldn't really capture it properly ):
Department of Theology
Fika with Glen!
I was highly amused by these snow-capped alfresco dinning, hahaha.
Brunch with beautiful view (:
4.30pm in the city.
Retail therapy is the best kind of therapy really.
Our first time making chicken breast went surprisingly well! It wasn't dry at all :D
Today I experimented with making french toast instead of regular toast. It was a little too soft, but still tasted fine! (:
Work space at home!
Latest expedition today involved butter cod fish and sauteed mushrooms! First time making rice with my portable rice-cooker-tupperware-thingy was also a success! I'm glad (:
That's all for now! Today I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've received in the past year, the people I've met and the ones who love me :3
