Begging spring to stay

During the time at which the parentships were in Uppsala, the weather was terribly cold; it was raining almost everyday and the wind chill was insane. 2 days after they left though, things started looking up. I ventured out one afternoon to enjoy the city a little:

Visited my favourite bookstore in the city near Stora Torget

Then ventured down this lane which I've never actually explored properly before.

It was a pretty amazing lane, I found this American store which sold household name American products, mostly of the food variety.

Seeing a whole range of poptarts reminded me of my pre-school days in Dallas

Also discovered a pretty little art gallery, the owner was gracious enough to let me take a few photographs.

Stopped by the famous Linnaeus Garden!

There was an entry fee to get in but I didn't enquire much because there wasn't a lot of time to spare, so I just decided to hang out at the courtyard.

Was joined by this adorable little kitty who was super tame, she crawled all over my lap and we had some fun together (:

After about 15-20 mins, she leaped off my lap in pursuit of a bird and disappeared into the bushes. So I decided to continue down to a quiet part of town to hang out by the river.

It was really quiet and serene; the ducks came really near, probably because I wasn't moving much. I even saw a mandarin duck flying! And I don't know if this sound stupid or ignorant, but I've really never seen one fly in real life before, it was gorgeous.

This adorable kid came by with his dad for a little while; he was such a joy to watch, smiling and laughing all the time (:

Checked out Vox Publicum, a book cafe I walked past one day. It was really lovely.

This delightful girl came and sat down with me and we had a little chat (:

Flowers all over town!

Back home at Gunsta as the sun started to set (:
