Major Photo Update: 19 August

I've been neglecting this space shamelessly, haven't had the time to get around updating because I've been busy day in and out and exhausted during the slow moments. In any case, yesterday marked the second week of the academic semester and we're starting to get into the full swing of things. It feels like it has been a terribly long time since I've done any serious academic kind of study, especially after the 6 months stint in Europe. I'm hoping all goes well, in the mean time, photo update:

Cleaned up my bookshelf and colour-coordinated it!

I got bored at work frequently.

Thankful that the canteen had amazing food (most days), free too.

Bumped into this darling on the way home from work at rush hour, the company made the horrifically packed and uncomfortable bus ride pass by much faster.

Quick birthday meetup with Julitta!

Being a bunny on my last day of work.

Spent my last lunch hour with Joni having thai food at FEP!

Celebrated with Melona!

It was a bittersweet last day :')

My aunt gave us a dinner treat in honour of the mothership's birthday.

The dinner had two parts :3

My first official day of non-work was spent with Joni at Films at the Fort watching Ilo Ilo!

Free gifts sponsored by Kiehls!

Joni bought these awesome air cushions, they were perfect for the night!

The only issue was that we had to blow them up by ourselves and that took a lot of time and effort :P

Being the "kiasu aunties" we are, we got there extremely early and were the first to arrive! Picked out a nice spot and started our lovely evening earlier than the other folks!

The dinner we were too lazy to prepare, hehe.

Bumped into an old friend on the way home, hehe.

Thrilled to be out of OL garbs.

Finally met up with Yulin who's back from her travels, we celebrated with sushi and KTV :D

She got me adorable presents from Korea :D

Met the boy for an immense Japanese dinner

Amazing sashimi slices!

One of my favourite kinds of dessert, shaved ice!

On National Day, we visited SAM to check out the temporary contemporary art exhibition on senses.

Quick break in between all our museum going!

We ended the night chilling at Loof, they were having some kind of event in accordance to National Day. It pretty perfect because it was quiet enough for conversation and relaxation but not totally dull.

There was also some kind of hello kitty theme thing going on so that thrilled me of course!

Sunday was spent the parentships after mass.

Prepared a special homecooked dinner for mum in celebration of her birthday (:

Jiejie supplied an amazing cake.

Monday night I bumped into the godpa when I was enroute to have dinner with my cousin from France.

Jiejie is the only one who can handle the mischievous niece.

It was really more of a farewell dinner, had some amazing Peking duck!

First day back at school!

Dinner with my boy in the evening.

Made a new friend

Been craving for the amazing duck noodles at Bangkit food centre but the owner has been taken ill for a terribly long time and have yet to return. Next best available thing -> NTU's Canteen 1's duck noodles :3

On Wednesday, the bunch of us Singaporean students who went to Uppsala had a mini reunion! Sadly,  we forgot to take a group picture!

Thursday I went to school for an early training, the promise of pizza was the only thing that kept me going.

Spent the afternoon with Kanika laughing and catching up and then had an impromptu dinner date at Chinatown with the boy.

Friday: the weekend began.

Travelled all the way to Kovan just so we could  get freshly baked bread.

This time coming home, we were prepared for our new kitty friend.

This was barely half the bread we bought, it was insane; but incredibly yummy.

Yakult shots!!

More bread for breakfast.

Afternoon "break" in between movies and books.

Embarked on the watermelon jello shot journey.

It got pretty sticky and messy but it was all very exciting! After this it was time to get ready to go out after staying home all morning and day.

Coq & Balls for Alcolympics Night!

Came back home to check on the jello and it was AMAZING. A tad too much alcohol and slightly too wobbly, but I thought it was pretty damn good for a first try.

Good night with good friends <3
