Quarter of a Century

So this year I wasn't expecting much for my birthday, it being only the third month in a foreign country and the fact that it was a pretty busy time of the semester. I was perfectly fine with the notion of a quiet dinner with some friends since we've all been incredibly swamped with work, but I was pleasantly surprised by their initiation :3 It was quite a lovely weekend!

Woke up to a snuggly puppy and went back to snooze for a bit with him.

Inspected a scratch he gave me the night before.

Watched him greedily get stuck in a bag handle full of food lol.

Breakfast before uni.

Had a mostly normal day before coming home to chill.

Finally set up a baby monitor for this baby.

Little did I know, my beautiful friends were busy baking up a surprise :3

Around 11.30pm, I received a knock on my door :')

Flowers from my family and bacon & cheese muffins from the girls!

I'm so blessed <3

Woke up a 25 year old and headed to uni for class as per usual.

Came back home to peruse my delightful birthday cards.

While I was checking out these chocolates that Jon gave me, the doorbell rang.

Flowers from Kanika :') While I was busy arranging them into a vase, the door bell rang again..

My friends at my doorstep armed with KFC and screaming in excitement :')

<3

Hipster flowers.

We also had an amazing cheesecake out in the garden but we had devoured it before I remembered to take a pic.

We were late for our next class because of all the yakking hahaha.

Came home again from uni to these beautiful flowers from the boy :3

It came with a very romantic note.

Yup.

I love them though!! <3

Ended the birthday at Chef Kay's house.

This was sooooooo good.

Someone was very obedient.

Gourmet dessert.

I've been incredibly blessed to be around wonderfully kind and loving people, despite being away from home and most that's familiar to me. Though things were kind of rocky for a bit before I got here, I have already seen how the mishaps were blessings in disguise. It is very true that sometimes things have to fall apart before they come together, I am very grateful <3
