Last day in Sweden, found a cool new mint version of the Daim chocolate and bought one for the boy. I really really liked the teal packaging, hehe.
Saying goodbye to my room on the morning of departure, I did love that room dearly - even if I did sleep on a sofa bed for 6 months.
It felt so surreal to be all packed up and ready to go home after so long.
Airfrance's meals were lacklustre as expected. This was chicken breast with some kind of.. yellow grain, no idea what it was. The swedish lingonberry tart was pretty yummy though!
Delighted with the tiny can of coke!
Transit at Paris airport.
Bought some macaroons for the sister.
View of my unkempt not-cut-in-6-months hair which I was dying to get fixed.
Embarking on an extremely uncomfortable 13 hours flight. Couldn't sleep well and felt nauseated for most of the flight :S
I love clouds, so fluffy.
Dinner was better, but not fantastic.
Watching homeground get closer and closer.
So tropical my island.
The papiton helping me out with all my shit.
The first thing I did was to get a mani-pedi.
White wine I got for the mothership.
Dinner time with cousins and granny.
Good to be back with my nearest and dearest.
Granny looking really happy after a night spent with grandchildren & great-grandchildren :3
The next morning I had a breakfast date with Hazie to have our favourite neighbourhood duck noodles, but it was closed so we settled for sub-standard meepok. Haha.
Visited professor Mocha as well.
Spent a large part of the afternoon fixing my hair.
And then ended the day with my favourite person in the world :D (yeah I added cool shades on him because I can, bahahahhaa whut whuttt).
The HKboy came over the Singapore for a couple of days! Hadn't seen him for almost 7 years but all's same old :3
Pre-production of Kwuda, amazing hut built by the art team.
Cuddled my favourite goldie.
Who joined us for dinner, hehe.
Spent the weekend with my favourite person, starting it off with GENKI SUSHI. I've been craving for legit god-awesome japanese food for the longest longest time; it was a pity I wasn't feeling too well on this day because I couldn't eat much. Still, having brunch with a cute boy, tiny trains that carry sushi to you and hello kitty plates? Pretty darn perfect.
What a qt :3
This was such an adorable place, designed in the vintage boutique hotel style. I loved it.
It's a pity I didn't take any more pictures of the interior, it was perfect.
The next afternoon we had sushi again because clearly once I start I can't stop. Was feeling much better by then so we could eat a proper amount (BIG GRIN :D)
Visited the National Museum for the "Balik Kampong" exhibition which chronicled the various islands that once made up the entirety of Singapore - including the ones that have been redeveloped and forgotten. It was really fascinating to see such tiny islands, home to less than hundreds of people, have such rich histories and culture.
Ended the night with EWF - har cheong kai chicken & battered fish burger!
Came home to open a bigass parcel that have been waiting for me back in Singapore for a couple of months.
Birthday package included a collection of poetry and short stories that the boy picked out, all by local authors that I admire. I loved it; perfect end to a wonderful weekend <3
