But first, some brunch! I was delighted to discover that Soup Spoon has a new combo which allows you to choose two different flavours of soup (so 2 small bowls instead of 1 big one). I got my favourite, the Simon & Garfunkel, and tried the Mushroom Soup - the latter was quite disappointing in my opinion so I left most of it. Didn't matter much though because the first bowl + bun filled me up quite nicely.
Was having a good eyeliner day :p
Went to catch a film screening at the National Library; it was comedic at certain points but the film generally pandered to the lowest common denominator and we felt it was a little too much of a sell-out (also lol at the shocked inadvertent photobomber).
The lacklustre film experience was made up by a Singapore themed exhibit outside the library.
Dropped by my favourite: the SAM.
The artist (Vietnamese I believe) rolled this huge steel ball for 6 days in a journey towards [somewhere I forgot]. This sounds terrible of me, but I forgot what it was supposed to symbolise, hahaha.
I love the SAM's walls and corridors.
And tiled floors, hehe.
By evening we were starting to get hungry so we stopped by at Tea Party's SMU outlet and got some pasta - it was delicious.
Next stop: the NMS.
Wish I took a better picture of this beauty.
Another Singapore themed exhibit, in honour of SG50.
Natural sunlight streaming in.
Reading about the origins of one of my favourite local brands (incidentally their first 2 signature drinks are ones that I detest, lol).
Oldschool kerosene stove & lamp, thought this was pretty adorable.
Hahaha the different locally used medicated oils, seems that most of them retained their original packaging.
"Cooling water"? I've never tried it before.
My qt taking a break.
T'was a great day :3
