Photo Update: 16th - 21st May 2016

This was the week I turned 24. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm super huge on birthdays and and other kind of commemorative events so I was looking forward to this a big deal, as childish as this sounds. I'm really glad that numerous important people in my life made it a point to do something with me during that period in celebration or somehow made me feel special. At the risk of sounding like a petulant child, I was kind of hurt and disappointed at certain junctures, but I guess I just have to get over it hahaha. Still, it was quite an awesome week:

On Monday this rascal and I went to JB for a day trip!

Korean food! My dad decided to tag along as well since it was his day off (lol) hence the large amount of food. It was way too much.

We went to go get our nails done!

Shahpping.

Quick tea break before we headed back into Singapore.

The next day I went to see Melly for her granddad's wake and got some cuddles from this fluffball.

Headed straight to work after.

Cheeky lol.

We made dragons for "DR" blend class, though admittedly, they didn't turn out the way I thought they would lol. The kids didn't complain about it though so that's cool.

Date with Kanika who came baring loads of gifts. Look at that amazing cut out card!!

We were at Barossa I believe. The service wasn't great but their lunch deal was not too bad!

I was halfway through my food when I received this:

Most amazing pre-birthday present EVERRRRRRR
(Prior to this, my mum had been badgering me to call them up to ask if I got in/giving me ludicrous suggestions on how to pressure them into letting me know such as telling them IT'S MY BIRTHDAY WTF or hint that I have other offers, *shakes head* most annoying week of my life, I'm so glad it's over).

We went shopping in high spirits hehe.

Happy forever :3

Came home to this bouquet of beautiful roses from my sweetheart :')

Met this little ball of squish as I was on my way to volunteer, look at it doing a half turn to look at me!

His owner heard me squeal and made him sit down for me to pat and take pictures, what a kind soul :')

After I was done with volunteering I went to meet my mum because she wanted to take me out on my actual birthday. We had Genki of course.

We also went to the Pompuri Cafe! It was really awesome, way better than the Changi Airport Hello Kitty cafe which was more expensive, less accessible, and nowhere as well done.

Mango pudding with ice-cream and some fruits. Didn't really appreciate the huge blob of whipped cream below, but thats okay.

Look at how cute the decor is!

Plus they have these huge plushies that you can cuddle! The staff makes sure that no one hogs them which is a really nice gesture too hehe.

I got a tad zealous with the photo taking haha.

After this we went home because I had to rest up before my tuition class! I was super tired from being out the entire day (lol age catching up on me) but it was pleasant at least!

Last day of the week with these babies.

One of my fav dudes hehe.

Babies with their ill conceived dragon crafts haha, my bad.

Friday night hang out at Cherry's with this qt, and

This qt.

We ordered food from PS Cafe because Cherry had fractured her foot and was basically an invalid haha.

This tasted like Chinese noodles, I hated it lol.

On Saturday morning I woke up early to head over to Lili's house to take care of my granny. Saw this cute little package that she left for me on the bed :')

Wrapped up so beautifully too.

It was a kindle cover! I was so touched because she had noticed that I have been carrying my kindle around in bubblewrap lol.

In my favourite colour too! (: After I settled granny down, I took a cab to Bugis to meet Yu Lin and Da Tian who was in town for business!

We were super excited to meet because the last time we saw each other was in Shanghai 5 years ago! We had made friends in a student pub after recognising each other vaguely (we had some common American friends whom I had known through a colleague and who were his classmates on exchange). After chatting for a bit we really clicked and had some fun together for the last few days in Shanghai before we left for home.

Went to Artistry for brunch. The food is good but the portions are wildly inconsistent lol.

After this I had to rush to an undisclosed location for my birthday surprise by Sam! This is where we ended up:

Studio M :3

Came in to presents

And an amazing cake.

And flowers

And moscato!

I was so tired from my eventful morning and afternoon, and had just gone through an unpleasant uber incident so I was ready to just roll around and do nothing. He obliged me with that plan hehe.

Just my qt and me hehe.

Finally got my ass moving to go for dinner at another undisclosed location.

Turned out to be Brusselsprouts, which was AMAZING.

We got this entire pot of mussels in lobster bisque broth, I can't describe how truly beautiful it was.

Grilled cod was amazeballs too.

They also had free flow of fries which I didn't particularly fancy, I prefer shoestring fries. I was making this expression because I was insanely full lol. After this Sam asked if I wanted to go party (LOL NO PLS I'M TOO OLD FOR THAT PLS), I just wanted to walk around little to get rid of my food coma a little. We also went to get snacks despite being full as hell because we knew we would start feeling peckish after a bit.

Got back and lay down for a good half an hour before I felt ready for:

Birthday cake and song time! I love birthday cake and song :3 So so so so happy!

We washed up and watched TV/read for a while and I fell asleep at some point due to sheer fatigue hahahaha.

Cup noodles and tv with my dude in the morning.

Perfect birthday present from him :3 I had been needing a new pair of everyday earrings for some time. It's difficult for me to find a suitable pair because I am allergic to most kind of mixed metal, so he got me this in rose gold. My favourite kind of colour combi in a simple and yet fancy-ish design. I love it so so so much.

Thank you for the good time qt! I had to head straight home and stay there alone because no one was around. I was actually really sad to be spending the entire Sunday alone at home but the dude made it up to me by ordering me a surprise dinner:

So I'm a pretty damn lucky chick :3
