Norway Adventure Pt 2

So on the second day of our trip, we visited the Opera and a sculpture park. I know it sounds rather lacklustre, but it was a whole lot of fun!

Homemade breakfast!

Glen skyping and showing off our breakfast!

Thomas Heftyes, where our apartment was at.

24 hour transport card that we each paid 90nok for, only to realise that everyone hops on and off the buses/trains here without tapping their cards. Apparently the city functions on a trust system of sorts, what...........

On our first bus ride, which I am still disgruntled about having to pay for. Bahhaahhaha.

Door handle that leads to the National Theatre.

Waiting room at the National Theatre, didn't go in because all the plays were in Norwegian!

Ice-skating rink in town!

Amazing snow castle!

City Tram

Walking up into the Opera House

"She's Lying", a sculpture in the fjord right beside the Opera House. It is constructed by metal, glass and concrete. The title is a pun; 1. literally lying in the middle of the fjord, and 2. "lying" because it moves in the direction of the wind and reflects light at different parts, hence it is never really just as it looks. Because it faces a different direction at every hour, hence bouncing lights off in different directions, the sculpture represents the constant change in our reality - the mutability of perception and time.

Glen being a model in action and all that, on the roof of the Opera House.

Climbing up against the ledge against Natalia's concerned shrieks of "do you want to die??" Also, we saw couples making out ON the ledge, looked a little too precarious honestly.

Interior of the Opera House, the sky was beautiful that day, but the wind super super strong.

Little children having fun rolling off the structure of the Opera House.

3D glasses which we received by accident, turned out that it was for a performance which we didn't watch. We brought them home with us anyway, hahaha.

One of the main halls.

Demonstration/short performance by some dancers at the main reception hall.

BK for lunch because it was the cheapest thing we could find!

Vero Moda sale! I bought a denim jacket :3

Visiting the famous Vigelands Park which was recommended several times as a "beautiful park known for its lovely sculptures". What everyone neglected to tell us was that all the sculptures were of naked people, it was bizarre. The three of us could not stop laughing, it was ridiculous.

Striding in, still unaware of the nakedness that awaited.

It was close to sunset!

Our first naked clue

At this point we had already passed by countless of naked sculptures in various poses, some didn't even make sense. This one kinda took the cake, naked people under trees, hmmm.. If you look closely, there're even more naked images below the trees as well.

Climbing up to the tower of nakedness, you can see it behind Natalia!

And of course, the gateway that brings you to the tower is also made up of naked people.

Me exploring the Norwegian woods, bahahaha.

Walking back to our street in the evening.

Grocery shopping!

Dinner for the night.

We were so exhausted but extremely happy :3
