Not everything has to mean something

Sometimes, it really really riles me up when people refuse to see reason, especially when I'm doing my best to be calm and rational. I don't claim to be 100% logical at all times, but at the very least, I'm capable of holding my own in a heated argument without losing my head and throwing abuse. It's just extremely disappointing and hurtful to have to take insult after insult just because the other party is upset, I don't think that such abuse can be discounted just because someone says "You only make me this upset because I love you so much". Why then, would you want to hurt me in this way? I don't really understand the X generation and their fucked up logic at times.
