Found this treasure 2 weeks ago!
Heaven
Saw this train one day when Glen and I were wandering around the streets looking for Helping Hand (which was incidentally just round the corner from the English Bookshop, except we walked all the way to a completely different part of town... -.-)
We were super exhausted and kinda irritated at being unable to find the place, but we saw some pretty amazing sights! Also, it was still snowing then so everything was white and beautiful <3
The selection of tea here is absolutely breathtaking.
One night we went over to Sean's hostel for dinner!
He is an awesome chef btw.
ABC soup and baked rice, it was super super yummy.
Being the man and educating us on geography, hahahaha.
The day I tried grilling salmon for the first time :3
Vaksala Torg's biannual flea market!
There were so many sights and smells, they sold just about anything: candy, socks, sweet almonds, caps, clothes, household items, homemade cheese, tables, china etc etc. There were so many people milling around and quite a number with dogs as well, I loved it (:
The last time I saw toffee apples irl was in Australia, probably around 2007!
Puppy I talked to, he looked at me very intelligently, hahaha.
Tea tins! There was a huge range and they were all absolutely beautiful, was super tempted to buy but I refrained from doing so because... I know I probably wouldn't use it :S
Adorable stall owner who talked to us at length and told us how he used to peddle in Thailand and visited Singapore before it became independent!
Spoils from the flea market!
We adjourned at Fathin's place after for dinner!
It was delicious :D
Dinner one day with Fathin & Deborah after a long day of shopping!
One afternoon, Glen and I took a walk at the forest near our house with our landlady! These train tracks don't actually lead out to anywhere, apparently it's just a "play" train that parents bring their kids on for fun!
The temperature has been unseasonably high for this time of the year, it ought to be steadily dropping from -10 to -20, but these days.. it's been -3 to 4 degrees! All the snow has melted.
Bringing back wood for the fireplace!
Baking!
Results!
Glen being enthusiastic about cake, hehehehe.
Our street at 8am
One day on the bus to school, liked that there was a light flare there.
Walking to school is so beautiful here, I walk from the central station to my faculty as often as possible.
I have to walk past a cemetery at the last leg, it's super peaceful and beautiful.
Lunch I fixed to bring to school :3
On the way home from the city.
Sweden is filled with adorable kids! Even more so in winter when they're all bundled up, too cute.
My landlady bought 3 kgs of this candy for her son who lives in Stockholm, apparently he has a real sweet tooth.
Grocery shopping has become a sport for Glen and I, we clearly need to cultivate some kind of self-control.
Walking by the Fyries River to get to church in the evening (:
