Up super early to catch the bus towards Malacca!
Macs breakfast wrap!
Because I'm an absolute baby, I brought my favourite stuff toy (affectionately and creatively known as "dogleg") along the trip (much to the disgust of my mother).
After about 5 hours we finally arrived!
It was so hot, this home made lemon sorbet was wonderful.
Living area in our villa.
My parents' master bedroom.
They had a magnificent ensuite with a huge tub that we did not use I believe.
The bedroom my sister and I shared.
The view from our living area.
The room and bed was so comfortable I was ready to just lay down and slack the day away.
But of course we had to head out!
Did not expect to do much shopping but unexpectedly found some cute pieces at the departmental store! We shopped for about 2 hours before looking for food.
Cute little kitty just lounging.
Traditional Peranakan food for dinner which I don't particularly fancy (because it's like regular Chinese food to me which I don't like either).
When we got back to the villa it was already twilight.
There were some complimentary drinks but I opted for some watermelon juice.
My family had different ideas.
I was hungry because I didn't eat much dinner so we ordered some room service to share! The food didn't taste amazing but it was alright!
Night view from our balcony.
And a pig facial mask to end the night hehe.
Woke up the next day to a sumptuous buffet breakfast! Again the food wasn't altogether amazing but it was sufficient.
These two all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
My dad just hungry, me with a swollen morning face haha. I would also like to clarify that all those plates do not belong to me.
Out to Jonker Street to walk around and see the sights! A lot of places were not opened because it was a week day, but I think I may have preferred it this way even though there wasn't much because at least we weren't getting jostled and squashed in the heat.
Got me a popsicle to stave off the heat but it did not taste good sadly.
Okay apparently this is some famous must-see tourist sight in Malacca but I forgot what it's called.
Cute uncle who took a family picture for us.
This one in fact.
What I really needed was for that windmill to blow some strong ass wind my way.
My sister insisted on bringing us to this place to buy some famous traditional snacks! I don't really like these but I got some for Sam and his family!
Thought that these were adorable so I got them for his niece!
Another apparently famous place which I did not know of, we came here for chicken rice!
Served in the form of their famous rice balls.
We also found a museum dedicated to Mamee!
A cute publishing store.
Basically the highlight of my entire trip, this little bundle of fluff!
Last stop before heading to the air-conditioned malls!
Got these from H&M, hehe.
Someone recommend this amazing seafood place to us.
I don't have any pictures of the food but two. This is of some amazing fried pork with I-don't-know-what.
But the highlight was of course the crab. I don't typically like crab very much but this was quite lovely. After this we walked around a little bit and then went for an invigorating massage which I unfortunately do not have any pictures of.
Back to the villa to pig out in bed, hehe.
Waking up for breakfast on our final day in Malacca.
Went up to the rooftop pool area by myself because I felt that it would be such a waste not to, especially since it was so peaceful and quiet there.
Okay after a while the heat started getting to me so I left as well.
Took a quick shower and then off into the scorching sun again.
Found myself a cheongsam for CNY!
My sister insisted we have our final lunch there at a well known restaurant, because I'm rubbish and this happened so long ago, I do not remember what its name is. It could be Grandma's....? But I feel like I'm only saying that because it sounds like a typical Chinese food restaurant name.
I placed my book for a couple of seconds beside a fountain with my sister and when I came back... It was in the water, lol.
Another long bus ride back to SG! My sister bought 35 famous nonya bazhang and they all got confiscated and thrown away at immigration, lol, what a damn pity.
