After we managed to drag ourselves up in the morning, our first stop was Laduree! Was really glad to make the visit since I didn't get to on my first trip to Paris!
We settled in at the bar area.
Ordered an assortment of buns/croissants and an espresso for the boy.
Also mushroom omelette which was.. awesome.
Couldn't possibly go to Laduree without ordering their macaroons so we ordered a mini set with sorbet, very very yummy :3
Pretty female toilet, wayyyy bigger and more beautiful than the male toilet. hahaha.
Then we went down to the boutique to get some presents!
Brought him to Petit Palais!
Was super happy to come back here because my camera died the last time + we were rushing and didn't get to linger long enough to see all the exhibits.
Beautiful flowers! Didn't have any of these on my first trip to Paris because it was still the start of winter, felt so so happy looking at all these colours!
The queue at Musee d'Orsay was incredibly long and since I've already been there + Sam went to a special exhibit held by them before, we decided to give it a miss and take a walk down the River Seine.
Exterior of one of the many sides of the Louvre.
Arrived at the Pont de l'Archeveche
My terrible handwriting on our lock, bahahahhaa.
We were exhausted AGAIN. So we stopped for a late lunch at this adorable cafe near the Notre Dame (which we didn't go to in the end because it was already going to close and we didn't want to rush, took some photographs of the exterior though!).
Duck hamburger with sautéed mushrooms, yum yum.
Made our way to Shakespeare & Co Bookstore and spent a good 2 hours there checking out the books/memorabilia etc.
We finally left the bookstore around 8-9pm, it was so cold out we took a train home. Also, earlier in the day we got caught by the Paris police for disobeying the laws of public transport and were fined 60euros, I was kinda traumatised but he was super amused, I have no idea why... So we spent almost 2 hours travelling and buying food to cook before we finally got home.
Relaxed for a good one hour before finally getting down to cooking. The onions we bought were tiny and kind of old and I couldn't stop crying while cutting them; continued crying while frying them into the pasta and even after we finished eating. It was kinda hilarious but incredibly painful. We wanted to cook wayyyy more pasta for a picnic the next day and ended up having to take turns to do the cutting because we were in too much pain. However, we both "closed our eyes to take a rest" and suddenly it was 3am and we hadn't accomplished anything. Waking up to cook at 3am was an interesting experience :')
